The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a UN development agency, is launching a new training and advisory program to support national governments in adopting blockchain technology.

According to CoinDesk on the 5th (local time), UNDP plans to support the practical administrative application of blockchain technology by establishing a blockchain training course for government officials and an advisory body.

Robert Pasicko, who leads UNDP's fintech team 'AltFinLab', told CoinDesk in an interview at UN City in Copenhagen, Denmark, "The new blockchain academy will begin operating within weeks, and we will initially select four national governments to cooperate with."

Pasicko explained, "This program is not just simple training," and "it aims to directly support the project development and implementation phases."

The plan is an expansion based on the 'UNDP Blockchain Academy', which is already operating for UN staff, and the core is to broaden the training target to national governments to help adopt blockchain in public administration.
