The criminal trial of Kwon Do-hyung, a key figure in the cryptocurrency 'Terra·Luna' crash, will officially begin in the US next January.

Judge Paul Engelmayer of the New York Southern District Court announced on the 8th (local time) during the pre-trial conference for Kwon's case that the main trial will commence on January 26 next year. An additional pre-trial conference will be held on March 6 to proceed with the discovery process.

This was Kwon's second appearance in a US court. After arriving in the US on the 31st of last month, Kwon appeared in the New York Southern District Court on the 2nd of this month, pleading not guilty to the charges against him.
