Story Forms Partnership with Stability AI to Protect and Monetize AI-Generated Content Copyrights

Intellectual Property (IP) blockchain platform Story's developer, PIP Labs, announced on the 9th that it has formed a strategic partnership with image-generating artificial intelligence (AI) company Stability AI.

The collaboration between the two companies aims to protect the rights of all contributors related to AI-generated content, including creators, developers, and artists, and to establish a fair compensation system.

Story stated, "We determined that creators in open-source AI lack a clear path to monetize derivative works," and added, "Through collaboration with Stability AI, we plan to track contributions throughout the entire process of AI-generated content and record them on the blockchain to establish a systematic revenue distribution system."

As part of the collaboration, AI applications currently operating within the Story platform, such as the AI image remix platform 'Mahojin' and the AI creative e-commerce platform 'ABLO', are providing services by combining Stability AI's AI models with Story's blockchain technology. These services support users' creative activities while ensuring proof of origin and rights attribution through Story's technology.

Jason Zhao, co-founder of PIP Labs, said, "With the unprecedented advancement of AI technology leading to an explosion of creative works, the synergy between AI and blockchain is not only powerful but essential for protecting contributors' rights," and added, "We will establish a system that provides fair compensation to contributors and protects copyrights."
