Bitwise: "Cryptocurrency has Established Itself as a Mainstream Investment Asset"

Asset management firm Bitwise has assessed that cryptocurrency has established itself as a mainstream investment asset.

On the 10th (local time), Bitwise shared the results of the '2025 Financial Advisors' Attitudes Towards Cryptocurrency Survey' on X, stating it as "evidence that cryptocurrency has become mainstream." They further revealed, "Last year, 96% of investment advisors received inquiries about cryptocurrency from clients," noting that this is the highest figure seen in the seven years of conducting the survey.

Additionally, they reported an increase in positive responses from investment advisors regarding the mainstreaming of cryptocurrency. According to the survey data, the proportion of investment advisors who added cryptocurrency to client portfolios last year reached a record high of 22%.

For advisors who have not yet added cryptocurrency to client portfolios, 19% plan to do so this year, more than doubling from last year's 8%.

Among advisors who have already added cryptocurrency, 99% plan to increase or maintain the proportion of cryptocurrency in portfolios.

Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Bitwise, stated, "This Bitwise survey dispels doubts about cryptocurrency," and evaluated that "investment advisors are recognizing the potential of cryptocurrency more than before, and the scale of investment is growing."
