The scale of UXLINK's security incident appears to be growing.

On the 23rd (Korean time), UXLINK announced on its official X (formerly Twitter) that "a hacker issued 1,000,000,000 UXLINK tokens in an unauthorized form," saying "this issuance is a violation of the whitepaper provisions and will be invalidated." It also emphasized, "We recommend not trading UXLINK tokens on decentralized exchanges (DEX)."

UXLINK explained, "Major exchanges have already frozen most of the hacker's assets, minimizing the possibility of additional damage," and "we are undergoing legal and compliance procedures to ensure the token supply structure fully aligns with the principles set out in the whitepaper."

Earlier the previous night, UXLINK experienced an incident in which a large amount of virtual assets (cryptocurrencies) were transferred to exchanges due to a security incident related to a multi-signature wallet. After the incident, UXLINK, which had been trading around 450 won, plunged to 200 won.

On the day, domestic virtual asset exchanges Upbit and Bithumb designated UXLINK as a trading watchlist item.
