While Bybit CEO Ben Zhou has acknowledged the Ethereum (ETH) cold wallet hack, global cryptocurrency exchange Bybit emphasized through its official X (formerly Twitter) account on the 21st (local time) that "all cold wallets within the exchange are absolutely secure" and "all customer funds are safely protected, and we will continue to operate normally without interruption."

The company added, "We are actively investigating the incident with blockchain forensics experts and partners," and "we prioritize transparency and security, and will update related information as soon as possible."
