National Assembly's Virtual Asset Holdings Triple… Reported Holdings Surge by 48% Compared to Last Year

The virtual asset holdings of senior officials in the National Assembly have nearly tripled in one year.
According to the 2025 property change report released by the National Assembly's Public Official Ethics Committee on the 30th, the total amount of virtual assets reported by 335 senior officials affiliated with the National Assembly and the National Assembly Secretariat was tallied at 1.26733 billion KRW. This is about three times the amount of 401.63 million KRW during the same period last year.
The number of reported virtual asset holdings also increased by 48.4% compared to the previous year, reaching 46 cases. The report includes holdings not only of the individuals themselves but also of their spouses and direct descendants.
The individual with the most virtual assets is Kim In-young, a policy research committee member of the National Assembly, who reported virtual assets worth a total of 530.52 million KRW. Kim is found to have diversified investments in nine major assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL). Following him, Yoo Dong-soo of the Democratic Party of Korea holds 364.15 million KRW, and Park Soo-min of the People Power Party holds 100 million KRW worth of virtual assets.
