Recently, a Coinbase executive raised the possibility of a hack in relation to the movement of 10,000 BTC from a whale wallet that had been dormant for 14 years.

On the 5th (local time), Conor Grogan, Director of Product Strategy and Business Operations at Coinbase, stated on his X, "There is a possibility that the whale wallet, which was awakened after 14 years, may have been hacked. The wallet first tested the private key using a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) transaction before transferring the entire BTC balance."

If the hack turns out to be true, this incident could become the largest hacking event targeting an individual wallet. However, as of now, no definitive evidence has been obtained.
